Having suffered for many years with Asthma I decided to try a course of acupuncture treatment. I had been using preventative inhalers but would still suffer bouts of asthma that were becoming a nuisance. However, after several sessions with Ian, I noticed a great improvement in my symptoms.

His approach and understanding helped put me at ease having been somewhat sceptical at this type of alternative treatment. Within a short time of receiving treatment I was able to refrain from using my inhaler. Six years later, I am pleased to say that I have had no reoccurrence and remain asthma free.

After 2 failed IVF cycles, we decided to try acupuncture having read articles suggesting that this may help with our conception. Being very cynical, my wife pleaded with me to keep an open mind and I have to confess I was very pleasantly surprised. I guess I was expecting a hard sale and all sorts of mumbo jumbo as to why it was a good thing to try and certainly I was anticipating leaving Ian's office reasonably clueless, ie the same as when I entered!

Nothing could be further from the truth...our free initial session was incredibly refreshing. Everything Ian explained made perfect sense and surprisingly for an old sceptic, I actually understood what he was talking about and I could see my wife was pleased that I was taking more than an inquisitive interest. I was also very impressed by the fact that during the free session he gave Sharon lots of practical advice, and recommended various reading material, on how we could improve our chances of conceiving. He actually told us that if he never saw us again, he wished us all the luck in the world, and this was enough to reassure me of his intentions. At no stage did he try to persuade us into calling back to see him and even suggested that the advice he had already given may well be sufficient to help us on our way!

It is, of course, impossible to say whether the subsequent birth of our beautiful baby boy is as a direct result of Ian's help/treatment, but we suspect that without Ian's help we would still be childless and whilst I wasn't brave enough to have any needles inserted, Sharon tells me it was reasonably painless and indeed relaxing. It was, and has been an incredible journey, and we will always be so very grateful and remember Ian's contribution!
